Earn a Master’s in Nutrition Online
In as little as 28 months, gain expertise in functional medicine and its growing value in the prevention and management of disease.
Explore the role of nutrition as a preventive, adjunctive, alternative strategy for the prevention and amelioration of specific health conditions. Our integrative and holistic perspective pairs with an evidence-based, scientific approach taught by experienced researchers and clinicians active in the field.
UB’s Master of Science in Human Nutrition degree program will prepare you for many roles, including those in private nutritional consulting, health and exercise facilities, the supplement industry, schools and universities, centers for alternative and integrative medicine, and human nutrition research. Graduates may also work with independent certifying boards to obtain credentials as a Certified Nutrition Specialist or a Certified Clinical Nutritionist. They can also pursue doctoral studies in nutrition.
The learner-centered program allows you to earn your degree on your schedule, wherever you are. Attend classes and interact with classmates and instructors online when it’s convenient—during the day, at night or on weekends. Plan to do coursework at least 3 days a week and attend 1 in-person exam at the end of the program.
If you hold a clinical doctoral degree (e.g. D.C., N.D., M.D., D.O., D.D.S.) and complete UB’s master’s in nutrition, you will be able take an examination that leads to the Diplomate of the American Clinical Board of Nutrition.
